I bought v3 and I am kinda freaked out!  I wasn't 100% sure I am in love with her, but I caved to the frenzy!  I hope I like her!!!!!

Hi Corrine yes I saw them. They aren't my cup of tea exactly which is a good thing as I am so broke post Christmas anyway. The Superfrock site is down at the minute but here is a pic:

This will be a double post but you all really made the difference and this is for you especially.

My Destiny with Sage

I awoke as if yesterday were a total DREAM soon to realize it was not. When we (Sage and I) got home last night after leaving your beautiful home, I ended up talking with my partner all night about what we had discussed and how we hope to become fast friends since our recent connection on Ebay. He knowing how much such a doll costs and I using the old "It's my birthday" ploy as a reason for such an extravagant purchase.

With Sage all boxed up and ready to transport my thoughts though a bit "evil" wanted to have some fun with my patiently awaiting partner. Deciding too not say a WORD about SAGE to him. Cruel maybe but I just wanted to see who would break first. Would my excitement get the best of me or would his curiosity get the better of him.

So as I walked in the door I strategically placed Sage's box on the couch directly in front of him all night into today. This had to or must of made him curious, or maybe furious? You will soon read. Jump ahead to today at 2:25pm this afternoon.

Out of the blue he asks

"So what did you buy?"

Laughing at him I coyly reply
"you mean you didn't PEEK"

he replies
"Peek into what"

I groan
"You've got to be kidding"

he replies
"Stop it! Let me see"

I opened her beautiful box trying not to startle her ever so carefully lifting the pale pink tissue paper to the left and the other to the right. Taking my hand down to greet her and slowly wrapping each finger around her perfect body as if I were King Kong picking up Faye Wray.

Remembering your lesson in sYbarite etiquette as to not let her knees bang together for if she was to crack "I rue the day" this area would be a hard injury for her to recover. So I slowly handed her to him soon thereafter he was TRANSFIXED unable to move or even breathe for a whole 30 seconds. You may laugh but this is a big deal because he said not a word, only stared into her gaze and come hither attitude as if he were straight again.

OMG I am writing like Jackie Collins.

Anyway back to her, after he said she was beautiful (duh!!) I then grabbed my FDQ photography book where you showed me what Sage the Fashion Victim looked like before you raped her (kidding:) like a proud stage mother I offered him a glimpse into her shady world as a top model in London.

Laughing manically as I screamed out LOUD

SHE is MINE...SHE is ALL MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Thank you and I look forward to sharing more with the new friends I have made this last month. This is for you.

For those of you wondering what happened to me this last week I can honestly say it has been a week I will never forget. You may know I was new to the whole doll forum scene asking all kinds of novice questions about 16 inch, 14 inch, 12 inch, Resin, Silkstone, Ball Jointed, Barbie, Avant Guards, Fashion royalty, Jamieshow, Jason, Paul, Robert, WU, Pham, Best and finally a goal I had set for myself some years ago to actually own A sYbarite Doll.

So many of you did send me Emails giving me advice and in the short month I spent on the many informative, helpful, supportive, and sometimes "catty" Doll forums asking those questions seemed to always boil down to just one answer, choosing a doll really is a personal choice. I was told you will know if the doll speaks to you, or if you are able to connect with her/him when buying a doll. Some of you buy to repaint/create visions only you could dream, others trade as fast as they buy, while most gave me the feeling of how much they love each and everyone of their dolls.

This was my aha moment. I love all my Barbies and will always love her first and foremost. But it has been a very exciting ride to my Destiny with Sage especially since I had never touched nor seen on in person. It was so hard to take advice like I listed above because a photo no matter how good it is does not compare to the touch, looking into a dolls eyes before you decide. So to my amazement and some Divine Intervention it was truly a miracle to have found you, Sages prior owner who all this time not only was selling a perfect "nude" sage but had a litter of sYbarites all to himself right here about 10 miles from my HOME.

So I will end this October 25th, 2010 story with a smile, a gorgeous doll, and now a new Friend. Making friends AND buying dolls who knew.

Sybarites are made of resin which is what gives them such wonderful realistic "skin". The eyes are hand painted. INNOQUII which are the other Superfock dolls are porcelain, smaller at 14" and have glass eyes. This is a a great article all about sybs: http://reviews.ebay.com/THE-SYBARITES-A-Buyer-apos-s-Guide_W0QQugid...

I am wanting to buy one and just seeing the London video you showed made me want to cry at how beautiful these dolls are. I need someone to educate me on etiquette when wanting to learn "more" about these dolls and "how" to obtain one. What are they made of and do they have eye sockets or are they painted

I am so on computer now that I am really expecting the digital form, but I also understand that people could prefer paper

Thanks Lilly. It's good to see that HD will continue in some form. I like the idea of a digital mag as well as opposed to the outrageous overseas prices we get charged for magazines!
