Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time...  I thought more folks would be willing to blab shamelessly about their Sybarites, but that has turned out not to be the case.  Or maybe I'm the only…Read More

Don't get me wrong, kids, I love, love, LOVE Sybarites more than any doll in the world, but their prices, especially clothing, *ahem* ---- me off beyond belief. Many's the time I've looked at a $200+ Superfrock outfit and thought "I can make that for a fraction of the cost."  Yeah, so it won't have the Superdoll trademark...big deal!  I love the way clothes look in real life as well as 1:4 and 1:6 scale-life, not what their label says.

I must admit the divorce color scheme is totally doing it for me.

I'm thinking of making a merry widow/garter belt combi in these same colors.  But without the pink accents...that looks like an after-thought to me.

Sorry about the rant, my dears.

Nan, your photos of Katana are awesome! I never liked her before but I love what you have done with her.

Thank-you, Deb.  I love browsing vintage photographs in general, and I am so glad my intent came through in my pics for you.  My Sybs are wonderfully patient models, indulging me while I play!  :)

There's no such thing as too many Katana's, my Sybarite Sister!   I LOVE these Sepia-toned pix.  They really give lovely Katana a Flapper-esque (1920's) look, don't you think?

Very nice...keep 'em coming!

Hope one more of Katana is OK.  I call this one "Vintage Bride".

Here is another photo of Katana, rewigged and photographed by me in the style of Alfred Cheney Johnston.
