Ellowyne's eyes

One (or actually, two) of Ellowyne's best features are her gorgeous eyes. But, not owning one and only judging from pictures, there seem to be different types of eyes. Some are made of glass and some…Read More

I know what you mean about being scared, and I was at first but Jim Dandy's work is so excellent and far superior to all others in the field. I have never regretted or been unhappy with the work he provides. He turns the doll into a super treasured collectible that I believe the popularity of the inset eyes was started due to him and Tonner and Wilde Imagination only started inseting eyes because of the fan base that Jim Dandy created. Tru-Dat!   :)

P.S.: I would love Essential Ellowyne three (blonde) as well, if the waves in her hair were a bit softer... They don't look real to me now.

Oh wow, thanks for the compliment..! o

I've seen Jim Dandy's name around eBay indeed, he's modified quite a few dolls. It scares me though, having a doll modified. The doll's eyes are such an important part of her look and character, and if the modification doesn't turn out as hoped, you might fall 'out of love' with the doll...

The girl from Thailand replied also, telling me which doll it was as well. :)Thanks!

Might be a while before I get myself one of these, I really don't have the money now and I don't think I'll have it soon. But IF I decide to buy one, I'd rather get one with inset eyes right away. And my favourites with inset eyes at the moment are Wit's End and Tears of Endearment.

Hey Evelien, I am sooo glad to hear you're coming down with "Ellowyne Fever" just like me!  lol, I Agree though, seeing a dolly in person to see whether or not she has what I call "Staring Quality" which means that you can stare and play w/ her for hours, is key!  I am also a fan of that particular ebay seamstress and she does exquisite work! Her model is "Essential Ellowyne" : Blonde, who is discontinued but easily found on ebay.  I also suggest getting her and having Jim Dandy install glass eyes for full staring effect!  :)  PS; please let me know about your progress in attaining an Ellowyne doll, I have a ton and I want you to get a good deal since you add so much spice/originality/comments to this site, making it so worth visiting!  Dolly Hugs! xoxo

Thanks Marie-Georgie!

The past few days I've been searching Ellowyne dolls on eBay. I don't have the money, but looking at those dolls is making me greedy haha. I'd love to get a nude doll and then buy a handmade dress from this lady:

She makes absolutely stunning dresses, just my style.

One question: does anybody know which Ellowyne she's using as a model? I love the hair colour and make-up on this one:

Wish I could see Ellowynes in real life somewhere, to see if I 'feel the love' hehe.
