As I promised, here's a before-after photo so you can see the difference and definitely...it's all in the make-up.

The lighter lashes are a good idea too. Thanks!
Oh, and maybe try will less darker lashes, I think they might look more natural than black.
Well, as far as I know none of them come with rooted lashes, there must be a reason for that, maybe since male dolls have less shadowy eyes it's difficult to hide the glue. Give it a try using some kind of glue that will come off easily in case you don't like the outcome and you don't ruin those handsome faces.
I think I might try that technique with the guy dolls I have, only trim them short. They don't look as realistic as the girls since their eyes look kind of blah without lashes.
Yes, you're right, now she's got more expressive eyes. I used regular false lashes as a strip and some trasparent glues that is not flexible so when it dries the lashes don't move. Finally a touch of dark paint over the root so you cover any unwanted remains.
I don't know if it's the right way or not but it worked for me.
Isabel, her eyes look so much more vibrant. Tell me, did you use regular false eyelashes and did you apply them one by one or as a strip? I assume you used white glue?
Thanks Nora, thanks Jane. I really appreciate your comments. Since this was my first time I didn't dare to remove the whole paint but I painted on top of it. Just removed the painted lashes, the blueish eyeshadow and her eyebrows, and I also applied the real lashes and removed all her hair because it was totally ruined so I had to make my first wig, too. I want to keep practicing so the next time I'll try to start from a completely erased face. let's see...
That is such a great repaint. Thanks for showing the before so I could see how much work you did!
it is really impressive, you did such a wonderful job with her eyes.....
