:I am working right now on my first pair of shoes for men. as the price for those molded shoes is way over my entendement $1.00 for a keychain sawn shoe $24.00 for a molded doll shoes??
no really I cannot
so I am trying my hand at making some thing that look like shoe

We sound a lot alike, Lilly. BTW...my Daughter shares your name.
Only she's a Lili (Lilith).
I like buying my girls nakie as well, because I LOVE to sew. And make wigs. And shoes. haha So I thought it was really cool that you gave Lizbeth a haircut so now she can wear not only that brunette wig that suits her perfectly, but any other color that suits her fancy.
Thank you so much for all of your guidance and food for thought, Lilly.
Come on PayDay!!!! I got some shoppin' to do.
oh my doll!!!!
Annette I am so happy, soflattered and so moved by your comment! I have 35 dolls today and each one as different background/nationality.
Each member of my "Gang is a tiny part of me (who I would love to be, what I would like to do etc..)
When a doll arrives at my home, I look at her and wait for the inspiration. Then she "becomes".
When I "discovered " that my new Vita doll was Icelandic (actually I didn't have any very Nordic doll yet)
I started looking for information in Google/Wikipedia etc.. I love to discover and add some true facts this gives a more realistic character to my Gang Members
it's just amazed me that I have been so close that I could have almost describe your Mom. Believe me you are definitely one of Halldòra's cousin. you are such a doll yourself
please tell you mom to forgive me if I made any mistake in my first steps in the beautiful Icelandic world.
dolly cheers
Comment by Annette29 on September 23, 2012 at 12:16 Lilly, I LOVE your flip-book. You are so creative, I enjoy your photos and comments so much.
I was very interested in Halldora's biography. Did you write it? I am of Icelandic descent on my mother's side. My great-grandparents emigrated from Iceland to Canada in 1900. They settled north of Gimli, near Arnes, Manitoba.
I currently live in Winnipeg, but I am not fortunate enough to summer at the lake in Gimli. I think perhaps Halldora could be a long lost cousin of mine.
I sent my mom the link to your flip-book so that I could share my doll hobby with her geneology hobby. Thanks again for posting it
Deb I forgot to add that Lizbeth hai are not original here she is wearing a wig. I loved her face right awy but i was not to found of her hair so I cut it and offered her a brown wig that seem to suit better the color her her eyebrows.
dolly cheers
Hello Deb
I am so glad I could be of some help. Money is always to consider in here as well, this is one of the main reason I buy all my doll naked (and honestly I love to sew for them as well) and winning the monthly challenge a couple of time here helped greatly
I would personally recommend Vita doll as a first for a newcomer in our "doll loving world" as their price are quite reasonable, compare to the other brand, but maybe not as luxurious as some other, for the passionate collector.
i would love to find a male doll in Horsman as well
dolly cheers

Hihi, Lilly! Now, see? That's EXACTLY the type of feedback I was looking for! I never thought about the side-glancing eyes versus straight-forward eyes, but looking at your cute grrls, I see something I would've completely overlooked in Licorice (she had me at all that black! haha).
I love Lizbeth's blue eyes and black liner! But in my watchlist I've also got your Halldòra (well, her Sister, that is). I love those green eyes (runs in my family as well) and her pale skin.
What a decision! But...who says I have to buy just one, right?
*looks at empty wallet* Oh...there is money to consider... haha
Thanks, dolly-Sister!
hello Deb !
I like Licorice indeed but in general I like my girl looking straight at me and Licorice got this "on side look"that I am not too found of . but if you love her go for it!
i got Lizbeth in march 2010 and was amazed by her "poseability" she is so easy to handle . she is lighter than Tyler (Tonner) and Gene(Odom) and maybe not as strongly built but she is very reasonably priced and I never encounter any problem with her.
I have chosen Halldòra (vita platinum in the buff) for her new face and very light complexion. As I wanted an Icelandic girl it seemed logical
I love dark hair as well and I am pretty sure I will buy the brunette (in the buff) in the future
I totally adore the goth look of Licorice.
dolly cheers
Lilly

Hi, Lilly! Nice to meet you.
I've been thinking about buying my first Vita, but had NO idea there were so many to choose from! I've been strongly considering Licorice, since I love her dark, edgy, Goth look, but which one would you recommend for a first-time buyer?
Thanks in advance for your guidance!
thanks Nilsa, I love Vita doll, they are so poseable and I love their sweet faces
