Just a shell
Barbie is beautiful, of that I think most of us can agree. The dolls that are modeled in either her image or just to be dolls follow suit in the beautiful category as I imagine no one would want to buy an "ugly doll".
Quite frankly even the Monster High dolls are on the beautiful side. So, I began to wonder where my niche was. It's not that I don't love dolls right along with the rest of you, however, All of these dolls are already made. In my minds eye there is no imagination as to…

Although this is a diversion from my usual Fashion Doll related posts I think that this doll will be of interest to many of you. Especially those of you who have young children. Her name is Matilda and she is the brainchild of a British designer in response to the lack of, to her mind, educational and suitable dolls for her daughter.
She is very much in the same vein as…

The Dynamite Girls by Integrity Toys are going all Urban for their Fall line of dolls. These crazy gals seem to have added a new boy to the group, Curt, along the way too. Mighty fine they look too with a retro 70′s, Taxi Driver vibe. Jasper’s look, especially, seems to…

Regular visitors to my blog will know that I am a huge fan of articulation in my dolls and like to keep a keen eye out on any developments in this field. To this end I had my sights on JAMIEshow dolls, available through the fantastic Angelic Dreamz, for sometime. However until recently I was not as taken with the face-ups as much as I was with their amazing physiques.
That changed when I came upon their St Tropez range of…

An artistic exercise to help "flesh out" my fashion doll characters
As an artistic exercise to help "flesh out" my characters, I decided to ask each of my dolls the questions from James Lipton's questionnaire that he asks at the end of every episode of Inside The Actor's Studio. As I found out, that questionnaire is a condensed version of Marcel Proust's. So I made my own questionnaire, based upon Proust's.
Here it is, along with all of my doll's answers. Go to My albums: School Pictures to see photos…

Last dioramas!!! This is the end!!!
Hi everybody!!! These are my last dioramas, two main bedrooms and a surprise, a laundry room which I love. Now that I've finished my project, I'm going to take some time to plan what it's going to be my next project. I've been thinking about making a small apartment or a loft or even a shop... Who knows!!! I hope you like my last dioramas, thank you very much for watching and commenting. And, if you like it, you can look for more info and pictures in my blog and in my Etsy shop. See you…
