sliding affections...
I have a lot of Barbies, maybe around 100 but I find myself favoring the Gene, Tyler etc.. dolls so much more. It could be that they are so much easier to sew for.
There is a grace and beauty to the gene/tyler dolls that as cute as Barbie can be , she just doesn't compare. Not that I'm sending my Barbie's down the pike but they all remain downstairs while Gene and…

Today Superdoll released the first instalment of the Colourvision collection named Doku. She is a Fugu clone and has the V3 body. Although according to the Superfock site Doku is actually version 3.2 but not sure what that means exactly!
Her highly styled couture may not be to everyone's taste but it's safe…

Well, I recently recieved my first vintage Ken doll. He is a blonde painted hair Ken from probably 1961 or 1962. As with everything doll related, I won him on Ebay for really good price. I was thrilled to find out that he came from the collection of someone who was a manager at Mattel in the mid 1960's. He is in very good condition, only having a few paint scrapes on the hair.…

With the demise of Haute Doll some time ago it is with great delight that I got to have a look at the latest fashion doll magazine in town. From what I have seen things look very promising!
From the Sybarite cover star to the high fashion style shots we had come to know and love from HD this definitely helps fill the hole it left. I do therefore hope this magazine will be here to stay. Be sure to check it out and subscribe by print, digital and soon to be released ipad/iphone…

Hello all,
My name is Chris. I am almost 35 years old, and from Houston Texas. I found this site when I googled Houston Dolls Shows. I was very glad to see that a site like this exists. I have been interested in dolls ever since I was a little boy. Even though back then, it was not proper for a boy to want a Barbie doll. In fact, I never owned one until I was an adult. I still don't own that many. So, I guess I am not as hard core as a lot of you. lol.
I am a…

WTB, WTB,....
Good Day!
It's been a while since I last posted--it seems like it anyway! Just this morning I order my first EG, A Cautionary Tale! I'm really excited for her arrival, hopefully she comes by Friday! Also, I'm looking for Eternal Beauty? EG outfit. Doesn't have to be MIB, just in perfect condition!
Thanks In Advance!

Nostalgia: clothes I made in my childhood
My mother recently found back all my Pams' clothing, both original fashions and homemade stuff from my childhood. I decided to dedicate an afternoon to styling my dolls using my homemade, well, crap :P. Cause to be honest, the clothes are terribly made and now that I'm 27 I still can't sew properly. Haha! I wonder how I'm gonna work on all those OOAK dolls I have planned...
Well, anyhow, the clothes do make for some cute pictures! At least, that's what I think.…

Going to the Crossroads Doll and Teddy bear show at the Puyallup Fair Grounds this Saturday. It runs from 10:00-4:00. I am hoping to find good deals on fashion dolls, probably not Barbie this time but Gene or Tyler etc..
It's been like waiting for Christmas, the last show was in October. Call it an obsession...it…

On March 11 we see the 50th Birthday of our favourite male arm candy, the one and only Mr Ken Carson. Of late he has really come into his own with a scene stealing role in Toy Story 3 and his very public mission to win back the love of his life, Barbie.
Way to go Ken and a very happy birthday to…

At Last, Paris!!
Good afternoon, everyone!
Well, I'm FINALLY in Paris! Technically outside of Paris, at the Hotel Novotel where the Paris Fashion Doll Festival will be taking place. I'm super excited for tomorrow, where I will go on the tour and go to the Sybarite party! I'll try to upload pictures of the day's events every night! Unfortunately, I am not able to compete in the design competition as the lady I commissioned left the outfit in her car and it…

Several weeks ago I was scanning the online Integrity Toys Store and came across, amongst other things, the Gene Marshall Calendar Shot doll on sale at a very reasonable price. Now I have had my eye on this doll for some time (well she was originally released in 2007!) but have never got round to an actual purchase... until now. So with great excitement I added her to my shopping basket and sat back awaiting her arrival. Which, coming all the way to the UK at anything near a reasonable price…

Okay, now I just HAVE to show you what I just made.
Just this afternoon I was whining in the Six Inch Dolls group that I couldn't find fitting furniture for my dolls' dollhouse, that either everything was too big (Barbie) or too small (1:12 dollhouse scale) unless I could find Pippa and Dawn stuff online. I really didn't want to spend too much money on the stuff and besides, I didn't think the Pippa and Dawn stuff looked too good.
So, I decided to try and make a sofa myself. I gotta say, I've tried before, but it never worked out…
