Superfrock speaks from the International Fashion Doll Convention…

The 9th International Fashion Doll Convention (IFDC) in Las Vegas is well under way and there are several news snippets winging their way across the pond from the Superfrock camp, who are making their debut at the convention. Desmond Lingard, one half of the creative duo behind the Sybarite dolls has spoken about upcoming plans for both the doll line as well as their recently announced Superfrock Convention.

Apparently there have been some alterations to the planned additions to the Colourvision line due to manufacturing difficulties on a couple of the dolls. Therefore Tangi who appeared in the Haute Doll section of the June/July Doll Reader magazine and the Voltaire sculpt doll, who was hotly anticipated, will not now be produced. We will still get Apple, the Inque sculpt featured in the same Haute Doll feature, as well as a bathing suited Pollen. Voltaire may make an appearance at some point in the year in a revised outfit.

The convention currently being planned will take place Friday to Sunday, October 21-23rd 2011. Venues for each day will be different and there will be a Doll A Day! Sounds exciting and I look forward to finding out more!

Yeah, I heard it costs $3000 - I can't imagine it being all that big - there didn't seem to be many people in Paris squealing in the bar, like there have been some years. I also heard that Marl is going - Oh joy to you all!
