With the demise of Haute Doll some time ago it is with great delight that I got to have a look at the latest fashion doll magazine in town. From what I have seen things look very promising!

From the Sybarite cover star to the high fashion style shots we had come to know and love from HD this definitely helps fill the hole it left. I do therefore hope this magazine will be here to stay. Be sure to check it out and subscribe by print, digital and soon to be released ipad/iphone versions.

Hi everybody! I think My Muse magazine is pretty good! I've seen the first e-version edition and I'm pretty please with the cool pictures and there is also two great articles ! But honestly, I think It will take all of are support, from we doll collectors to make this new doll magazine successful! And I think, it will the the first year of publication to make it happened...So we must stay positive on that one!

Thanks for the review Lilly. I agree about not being able to see in full view. A little annoying! As you say the magazine is in early days but we must support anything to support it and help it grow into a fantastic doll magazine for us all to enjoy.

I will pass all the comments on to the founder of My Muse. I'm sure she will be very happy to hear what doll lovers think and would like to see in the magazine.

I just received my e-version of  My Muse #1.(for $1.99 by paypal)

first of all, it's (in the flash version) no way I can figure out to have a full page, and this is bothering me, as I like to have a full screen view.(I assumed it's to avoid printing)

the mag by itself is not bad if not really original.

-the pictures are nicely done, gorgeous white/white Poppy Parker

-interesting interview of Angie Scarr and her gorgeous miniature food :) and Paulette Godreau

-a tutorial (1st part) for the making of a polymer clay doll

and a tiny (not very original as very similar can be found free on the web) pattern for Bratz shoppers paper bags

in my scale of 10/10 a 6 will do for this first e-issue.

this being of course just my opinion, please this should not stop you of buying this magazine, we really need dolls mag and My Muse is just at it's beginning, it will certainly changes/varies/adapts to our needs, and I will certainly buy the #02

Dolly cheers

as I was not too sure either I ordered the digital version, &1.99 for the #1

I went through a "little version and it seem interesting enough for a first, I was very "hooked" to Haute doll and it will be difficult for my taste to bit this mag

This is awesome, but I am a bit confused.  Is the $12 price for one issue or a yearly subscription?  $12 seems a bit steep for a magazine of only 40 pages.  I'm guessing that this is "self published" with few advertisers, so that could account for the hefty price tag.

I do want to support this endeavor, but want to know just what it is I am paying for.

Oh, wonderful! I had no idea Haute Doll was gone. I knew my B&N didn't seem to have it anymore, but I just thought that was my store. It's good to see another magazine show up. I like, and read FDQ all the time, and loved Haute Doll. Doll Collector spends a little too much time on baby doll, and collectable child dolls for my taste. So, this is good. :D
