Here we have round up of the news and dolls from Friday at the Integrity Toys Tropicalia Convention in Florida. This is news direct from IT!
“Guests who arrived late to the convention were able to register and enter their fabulous competition dolls during the morning. If guests did not have a workshop to attend this morning, they could always get into the queue for the new “Style Lab”. Everyone was wanting to see which characters were available in this breakout event. Never fear…attendees could also visit the raffle room, museum and the Integrity souvenir shop.
The Friday luncheon is one of collectors’ favorite events since it always features one of their most favorite dolls….Poppy Parker! Everyone was very pleased to see their favorite girl once at each of the decorated tables sporting a very tropical look. Poppy Parker dazzled guests as the centerpiece doll, Sea Breeze! Inflatable chairs, that were the perfect size for travel dolls to enjoy by the pool, were also waiting for each attendee.
Poppy has new friend in the Big Apple and her name is Loni Lawrence! Not only did guests hear all about this new character in the Poppy Parker collection, but everyone was given the first Loni doll as a gift at this event!
During this event, David Buttry talked to attendees about the new 2013 Poppy Parker collection. The theme for this collection will be the “1964 New York World’s Fair”! These dolls will be presented next year and we won’t have more information on that fabulous collection until then, so stay tuned!
Friday is proving to be another busy day for guests at the convention. Guests who had already attended the Style Lab were showing their newly created dolls to friends and other attendees. With 14 different dolls to choose from, everyone came away happy with their new creations. Plus, attendees could take advantage of learning a few tips and tricks for styling and posing their dolls from David Buttry and his team of volunteers.
Guests who attended workshops during the morning came out with new skills and information that they would be able to use with their doll collection! The workshop kits were a huge hit once again this year! The edition size was increased for each workshop doll and so, most guests were able to purchase one.
After the Poppy luncheon, there were more workshops to attend and guests could visit the museum, the Integrity salesroom, the raffle room and the competition room! If attendees needed a break, there was always the fabulous amenities that the resort offered.
The “16 at 1600 Tea Party” was held at the hotel’s Cascade American Bistro for fans of Integrity Toys’ 16 inch dolls. The Cascade American Bistro was the perfect location for this event with its waterfall, 35 foot mermaid fountain and the cooling trees of the atrium.
This breakout event was for collectors to get together with friends, show off their favorite 16 inch dolls and just have fun! Guests were able to chat with the Integrity Design Team and find out more about the 16 inch collections. There were lovely drinks and desserts too!
On each table was the beautiful FR:16 Elsa, “Sheen Siren”, as the centerpiece doll. Once again, each guest was hoping to win the chance to purchase this beauty. Don’t you think that Elsa is fabulous?
Each table not only had a gorgeous 16 inch centerpiece doll displayed on it, but everyone found a fabulous gift that was designed just for their 16 inch dolls. Guests received a FR:16 shoe pack to add to their big girls’ accessories.
The Integrity Designers talked about the next new series of FR:16 dolls. The W Club will keep you updated on this new line once more information is available.
During the day, guests were able to attend the new “Color Infusion: Style Lab” to create their own dolls from a huge assortment of dolls, fashions and accessory packs. Many guests have probably already posted photos of these dolls in the forum. But, here are some photos of just a few of the different dolls and fashions available for our “guest designers” to choose from. Enjoy!”

Too right, Simon! After all, we got 2 perfectly good feets...My 16-mile walk to work is going to take a little while, but Then Boss will just have to deal with it. I mean, it's ELSA we're talking about, here!!

Comment by Nilsa M. Donelan on September 30, 2012 at 21:43 Oh goodness, Simon, I meant to ask what size is Poppy Sea Breeze
Nilsa

ARRRGHGHH!!! You're KILLING ME, Simon!!
I've already seen 2 Elsa's on Ebay, and I am REALLY trying VERY hard to resist the temptation...I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that eating and having to pay for food is simply overrated.
Oh, and buying fuel! Definitely don't need to be spending my hard-earned Dolly $$ on THAT nonsense.
