As announced via the Superfrock mailing list a couple of days ago a very special event is to happen in October when the Autumn/Winter season will be unveiled and a very special Calk White sale will occur. I have my name down and I am very exited! See the blurb:

"The A/W 2010 Salon season will be launching with the introduction of Ventriloquet_003 (a darkly kept secret), Salon exclusive outfits and more delectability than should be legal!

Our 2010 Autumn Winter collection entitled: Inner Society™ will be shown and sold from our London Salon.

The Chalk White collection PREVIEW & SALE commences on 09 October 2010 at 18h00 with a champagne reception. This exhibition is open to all who would like to witness, view and experience the gloriousness of a Chalk White collection in it’s entirety. All we request is that you RSVP in a timely manner enough for us to prepare for your company!"

The bodies were the traditional bodies in chalk white. I have heard that the new body will be introduced at the Paris doll festival in march.

Hey Syb Kids,
WOW is this your first trip to the Salon? It sounds as if it was. Do you think what you witnessed is the new improved line of bodies to come this year to buy? I have heard everything from Chalk Whites, to better articulation, to the new line will be released any day now. What do you think? I now own two Sybs and one Innoquii with two months of shopping to complete 5 outfits piece by piece. Photos coming soon. I want to know if I really should save my money if you think the new line is coming

Sounds wonderful! I am so glad for you that you were able to attend!  (ok and a wee bit jealous, but I think I would feel a little nervous too!)  The attraction must be overwhelming, I am always fascinated by hand made items..the care, skill and time it takes to achieve a unique item of quality and beauty. I have heard that one is not supposed to disclose the cost one paid, of a doll at these events!  I have to say C & D are genius at creating drama and anticipation!  Thanks so much for taking the time to update!

Hi Corrine, Yes you are quite right I have kept this under my hat somewhat LOL!

Well it was very exciting to finally see the Superfrock Salon especially after a log drive into central London. A very still cocktail greeted us (even my non-alcoholic one had a 'kick'!). After everyone was suitably loosened up and Charles and Desmond had greeted the excited guests we were led down into the display room.

There we were confronted by around 15 light filled display cases containing the most fabulous and beautiful dolls I have had the pleasure of seeing first hand. Each one had been painstakingly hand made sewn and teased by Charles and Desmond himself. Desmond even had the scars to prove it so he told us as we marvelled at one of his particular creations.

The dolls were loosely based around a high society theme with names containing Lady and Princess. There were fifties shapes and ethnic touches with a wide variety of colour and shades, all bright and enticing. Fabrics were varied too from silks to light hessians. All with the cool Superfrock touch and humour.

As these were couture OOAK dolls I dare not even ask how much they were let alone be as bold to make a purchase. Just being able to see these amazing creations up close and personal was enough for me LOL!

Simon, why does the superfrock site still have the 2009 dolls up and it is not updated with the new ones?
