Hello, Isabel! Thank you for wishing me a Happy Valentine's Day! I've been very busy with my work and haven't been posting anything, neither here nor to my Flickr page. Shame on me! I'll try to do my best to make up for it!) And though I'm a bit too late, Happy Birthday! Many happy returns of the day!
Hi! Thanks for writing. The lil bee was my 1st glider, twinkie. He was a one of a kind as most gliders, no matter how tame they are, are very active & high strung; but not twinkie! He was so laid back & would let anyone hold him w/o getting upset at all. Sadly, my sweet lil boy passed away 2 years ago from a mystery illness. My vet said that he was most likely born w/ a genetic kidney problem. I was able to get his younger brother; but he is nothing like twinkie. Spike is grouchy all the time & even though I hand raised him just like my others, he only tolerates me and is the only one that bites me. His mate, cookie monster is the boss and I just love her! Their 1st joey's were 2 boys; but they died right after coming out of pouch. Because they were her 1st & young age, she brought them out too early. They next ones were a boy(boo bear) & girl(tinker) They were so much fun when they got big enough to play. Gliders are liker a mix between a monkey and a cat and they are nocturnal, so they sleep all day and "party" all night! However just like most kids, boo & tinker wanted to play around the clock and would get into so much trouble! I would hear them being "crabbed" at(glider bitchin) all the time and if that didn't work I would hear a lil squeak as cookie would bite or pull their tails(glider spanking) & few times she would banish them to the other pouch(glider time out) so she could sleep. Next came buster( he is my fave. and the one I spent the most time w/ because he was a single joey. He is also the biggest. Then there was skeeter ( her littermate died) and she was really overly hyper & a bit crazy. My twin girls, whom I cannot tell apart & just refer to them as the girls came next and was the last babies cookie has had. Last but not least is the baby of the family, bitsy who is skeeters 1st baby. She is just as hyper and crazy as her mom and she and spike are a lot smaller than all the others. Anyway, so sorry to babble on about my furbabies! I am not sure exactly what a chalupa is as my dad named her; but I think it is some kind of food? Or maybe it means supreme ruler of the world as that is what my "lupy" thinks she is!
I look so forward to meeting new people and learning about their likes and dislikes and of course ellowyne! Please feel free to write anytime! Sincerely, Ginger
it is so funny how people respond to the microwave video. i'm so glad we left that in the video back in 2010!!
its been a fun journey doing this for the past 17 years and i feel like we're learning something new each time we make a new design. its a constant learning experience which is good otherwise it would become boring!
your work is so cool and i love the detail and the photography!
looks like you've got your painting down too! just avoid the microwave!
sorry I cannot answer this , I am not a collector, got my forty 16"dolls and play with them on my web site (http://www.domidoll.com/) but I have no real knowledge about the dolls and the artist better to ask Simon (the manager of…"
