No wig yet :(

Yesterday they sent me an e-mail saying 'we only ship on Tuesdays and Fridays, so we will ship your order today' and today I got an e-mail 'we shipped your order today'.

What the hell :(

P.S.2: The outfit I made for my Tristen is very very simpel, I'm not such a great seamstress or pattern maker at all lol, but I think it looks cute anyway. Just need to get her out of that standard outfit for now, I'll make something more complicated later :). I SO hope I get the wig tomorrow so I can dress her up and show you pictures. If it doesn't come tomorrow, it'll come on Monday or Tuesday and I can't bear to wait that long dangit!!

P.S. I've never held an Ellowyne, but if you do indeed buy a Moxie I'm pretty sure you'll be disappointed with the quality of her articulation. One of her arm joints is a bit.. off. It moves okay, but looks weird. I've read that this error occurs more with these dolls, unfortunately, but hey, €30, I guess I can't be picky ;).

A woman from the UK who knows I want Feeling Drained, just put her FD on eBay NRFB because she needed her money back suddenly. Since it's from the UK I won't have to deal with customs, but crap. I really really really shouldn't do it. Can't afford it. I can pay for her with my creditcard but I'd get in trouble later. Besides, she's not even THAT cheap.. it's just that, since there's no customs charge, you know what you're gonna pay beforehand, no nasty surprises afterwards. But still.. I'll just enjoy my Tristen for now. Ellowyne, maybe later. :)

Not sure yet, I'm gonna experiment with her lip colour later, for now they'll just be nude. I finished her new outfit including a new bag and some jewellery tonight, so I REALLY hope the wig gets here tomorrow... I don't want to dress her in her new outfit before she's wearing her new hair. Haha I feel like a little girl at Christmas!

Removed her lipstick! Think she looks much more beautiful now.

 

Mark, if you do decide to get one, could you perhaps try Ellowyne's shoes on your Moxie Teen..? I'm dying to know if they fit! No pressure though! Lol!

Oooh you didn't know she was wiggable?? That's why she appealed to me in the first place, because of that and the inset eyes! I told you I already ordered a new wig for her, remember? :D Which girl are you going to get?? :D

Working for school now so I can't really do anything with her yet, can't wait to make her a new outfit and bag!! Hopefully tomorrow!!

They only had ONE Arizona, ONE Tristen and ONE Melrose. I was hoping to have more choice because I've read that some of them have wonky eyes, but the one Tristen they had is perfect, so I bought her within 30 seconds haha. When the cashier asked if she was a gift, I sternly said no, but he began peeling the price label off anyway, haha. Must have been his instinct. I told him not to bother ;)

Getting her out of the box was a pain, oh my God, it took me ages and I broke a pair of scissors..! Also one of her earrings broke while doing it, lol, but I'd already read that her jewellery is quite crappy and to be honest I don't care at all :P.

I have to go soon, which is a shame because I haven't had time to play around with her a bit yet, but I did take a few snapshots, see below. I love her face but I think she'll really come alive when I put her new wig on her... and that's when I name her. Think I'm gonna give the way she came in some edge later tonight by cutting it by the way. Right now I don't think she has a personality yet at all. :P But I LOVE her!!!!!!

Haha that's the cafeine talking I guess. I'm full of energy, just using it for the wrong purposes at the moment, gotta get back to schoolwork.. but first I wanna stress that I know Dawn ;). I learned about her when I started collecting Pams. I also found out about Pippa, a similar doll by Palitoy :). I have one Pippa, I wanted to have one just .. well, to have one, haha, but I think I'm gonna put her on eBay again, I'm not doing anything with her at all :P. Think she's cute, but didn't feel any true love, haha.
I'll be off now, I don't wanna miss my shot at deserving my Tristen!!!!! :o

Haha, well that's part of the fun of collecting Pams: they're rare, but most of the time quite affordable! I mostly find them on (online) flee markets and the cheapest one was 20 cents. That's what makes collecting/finding Pams a fun sport and challenge.

I don't like all playline dolls. Since I joined Doll Observers I've gotten to know lots of other types of dolls and I loved loads, but also couldn't see the charm of many others. I'm so curious to see if I'll fall in love with my Tristen. Cause as I said before, a big part of Pam's charm is that I used to play with her in my childhood.

Oh, I can't wait to get out and buy my doll. It's 5.30 am here now. I'm insane. I have a big study deadline and I work best at night, when there's a lot of pressure. Fortunately I'm quite sensitive to cafeine. It only took me two cups of coffee to keep me up all night, and then some, haha.

When I've finished my college jobs by the time stores open in the morning, getting my Moxie Teen will be the ultimate reward.

I'll post pictures right away when I get her. After that I'll go take a nap, lol.

Now that I've compared the two, it's a much lighter shade than Arizona's hair, but I love it, it's just the colour I wanted. I ordered it from a Dutch store, so it should be with me fast, I hope this Friday!

Ooooh Mark I'm sorry for spamming your page, but I'm so enthusiastic.. I just ordered a wig haha!! I think it's about the same colour as Arizona's hair and it's just as wavy, with two braid-like strands of hair pulled backward and held together by a ribbon. Oh what the .., I'll just show you :)

It's the Monique Lexy. I think it'll make her look SO different already... We'll see.

P.S.3: I thought perhaps the Moxie Teenz dolls would be looked down upon because, well, they're relatively cheap playline dolls.. so are my Pams and lots of other dolls here on Doll Observers, but at least they're vintage..! Lol.

Wonder what I'm gonna say if the cashier at the toystore asks me if it needs to be giftwrapped, tomorrow, considering I already said 'Yes' out of shame when I was buying dolls in my teenage years haha...
